Artemis Nolasco, keeps her fashion design schooling, illustration background, and love of style, deeply engrained in her sketches and paintings. She has cited daily observation of unique personal styles as her influence, and depicts beautiful warrior women. Using a mix of watercolor, colored pencil and collage on wood, Artemis paints vibrantly colored backdrops for her lovely muses. Her work is a representation of the female spirit.
Elements found in nature such as the Sun and the Moon have become a recurring theme in her work. The sun represents energy, vitality, and self-confidence. While the moon is that which illuminates our own animal nature while also bringing out visions, insight, and creativity.
